AI baby sleep helper, built on your own sleep log
Charts show what happened. The sleep helper is for the next question: “so what could we try?” It reads summaries of up to 30 days of your own logs and answers one of a few preset questions in plain language.
Four questions, answered from your data
Choose “What could help tonight?”, “Find a better nap rhythm”, “Understand night wakings” or “How is today going?”. The app prepares summaries on your device: approximate age, recent sleep and feeding averages, today’s totals so far, last night’s sleep times and wakings, typical sleep windows from your history and calculated patterns. Sleep answers come in three short parts: what stands out, one thing to try next, and what to watch for.
Grounded in what you logged
The helper may only mention clock times that appear in your own typical sleep windows. When the pattern is not consistent enough, it says so and suggests what to log next instead of inventing a schedule. It offers one gentle, flexible change rather than a rigid plan, and avoids suggestions such as withholding feeds or unsafe sleep practices.
Privacy by design
Your name, your baby’s name, the exact birthdate, email, account IDs, free-text notes and raw event logs are not sent to the AI. Our server forwards the summaries and your selected question to OpenAI to generate the answer and records account-linked usage to enforce the daily limit. In the app you can open “What is shared with AI?” at any time.
Sleep varies between babies
The NHS notes that babies’ sleep needs and patterns differ, and safe-sleep guidance from NIH/NICHD is about the sleep environment. No app, AI or log can assess that environment, so follow safe-sleep guidance and talk to a health professional about concerns. [1] [2]
What the sleep helper is not
- It is a beta feature currently available to selected Premium households, with a limit of 10 questions per day.
- It does not promise better sleep, diagnose a sleep problem or replace advice from a health professional.
- Answers depend on what was logged. Gaps in the log can make answers vague, and correlations are not causes.
Questions about Baby Track
Who can use the sleep helper?
It is in beta and currently enabled for selected accounts on households with Premium. It is labelled “Sleep helper · beta” in the app.
Is my baby’s data used to train the AI?
Baby Track sends only the anonymized summaries and your preset question to generate an answer. Names, notes, exact birthdate and raw logs are not sent.
Can it make a sleep schedule for my baby?
No. It suggests one small, flexible idea based on your own logged patterns. It does not set wake windows or a fixed schedule.
